1 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Echos! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Echos mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Echos ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2 Description of Service

Echos is a social connection app that helps groups of friends, family, and loved ones stay connected through daily questions. The Service allows you to:

• Create and join groups with people you know
• Receive and respond to daily connection questions
• View and react to responses from group members
• Engage in conversations through replies and reactions

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• If you are under 18, you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service

4 Account Registration

5 Subscription Plans and Payments

5.1 Subscription Tiers

Echos offers the following subscription options:

• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

5.3 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

5.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice to you.

5.5 Free Tier

All users receive one free group forever, which does not require a subscription and will not automatically convert to a paid plan. To create additional groups beyond your free group, you must subscribe to a paid plan via the in-app paywall.

6 User Conduct

6.1 Community Standards

Echos is designed to be a family-friendly environment. You agree to use the Service in a manner that is:

• Respectful and considerate of others
• Appropriate for users ages 13 and older
• Conducive to positive, meaningful connections

7 User-Generated Content

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Echos ("User Content"), including responses, replies, and reactions.

7.2 License to Echos

By posting User Content, you grant Echos a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

7.3 Content Visibility

User Content you post is visible to other members of your groups. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post.

7.4 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users.

8 Group Membership

8.1 Creating Groups

When you create a group, you become the group administrator and are responsible for the group's conduct and membership.

8.2 Adding Members

When you add members to a group, you represent that:

• You have a legitimate relationship with the person
• You have their consent to add them (or reasonable belief they would consent)
• The contact information you provide is accurate

8.3 Member Responsibilities

All group members must comply with these Terms. Group administrators may remove members who violate community standards.

9 Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10 Intellectual Property

10.1 Echos Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Echos and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.

10.2 Trademarks

"Echos" and our logos are trademarks of Echos. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

• User Content will be accurate, reliable, or appropriate

We are not responsible for the conduct of users or the content they post. You interact with other users at your own risk.

15 Termination

15.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app.

15.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your conduct harms other users or the Service
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
• We may delete your account and User Content
• Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including Sections 7.2, 12, 13, 14, and 17)

16 Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
